Micromax has announced their new smartphone 3D A115 in the Indian Market and this smartphone is in everyone’s range, priced only at Rupees 9,999.

What’s so special about this phone? You only get surprises at this price. The phone boasts a 5 inch 3D display. And you won’t even need a 3D glass to watch 3D contents. There are technologies to convert normal 2D images into 3D without requiring glasses and it has been embedded in this smartphone.

As we have said before, this phone has a 5 inch 3D display and it runs on the latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. You can use two SIM cards at a time in this phone, and the processor is a dual core 1GHz processor. It supports memory extension of up to 32GB. The company didn’t reveal any information on the RAM and internal storage of this phone till this article was being written, stay tuned with 13mania for updates.

As a budget smartphone with 3D screen, you can’t expect everything to be awesome in terms of quality. Maybe that is why Micromax didn’t think so much about the camera, they have put a 5MP camera in the back and a VGA front camera unit in the front. This phone is equipped with all standard connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB etc. The battery life should be good, as the 2000 mAH is supposed to run a phone of this configuration pretty well.

The expected time of releasing this phone into market is May 2013 as the company website says. They announced in January that they will be releasing 30 smartphones this year and it’s one of them. Currently, the only 3D smartphone in the market is a LG 3D smartphone which is priced at 26,400 rupees so this phone will put up a good competition.
